    Hunter Pinke gives some instruction to GMR kindergartener Olivia Lambert before racing her in the GMR School gym during his visit on May 18. Pinke, a native of Wishek, N.D., talked about his journey from a Division I University of North Dakota football player to a chest-down paraplegic at the age of 22 following a skiing accident in Colorado on December 27, 2019. Pinke spoke to the public and GMR seventh to twelfth grade students first and then spoke to the kindergarten through sixth grade students, playing a couple games with the latter group.     The GMR Knowledge Bowl team posed together at the 2023 Minnesota State Knowledge Bowl Tournament, held at Cragun’s Resort in Brainerd, April 13 and 14. In finishing second at state, the team made school history, recording the highest GMR state tournament finish ever. Greenbush finished first in 1990, but before the two schools paired.
